RAM has unveiled three special editions for the 2022 RAM 1500 – each more power-packed than the last. The newest model to the line-up is the RAM 1500 RED Edition, a truck that not only proves the brand’s commitment to top-tier performance but changing the world.
Joining forces with (RED) to contribute to HIV/AIDS and COVID-19 relief, RAM, Jeep and FIAT have committed to donating a minimum of $4 million by 2023. (RED) has already raised $650 million since 2006 – and impacted 220 million lives!
Other special editions include the RAM 1500 Limited 10th Anniversary Edition and RAM 1500 BackCountry Edition. The Limited 10th Anniversary Edition boasts 22-inch polished wheels, unique badging and head-turning Blue Shade exterior paint. The BackCountry combines features from the Off-Road Group and Bed Utility Group, with rugged, all-terrain tires, hill-descent control, and spray-in bed liner.
RED Edition Powertrain Capabilities
Starting at $64,945, the RAM RED Edition truck offers plenty of opportunity for customization! Choose between the following engine options:
- 5.7 L V8 Hemi MDS VVT engine
- 5.7 L V8 Hemi MDS VVT Etorque engine (including Variable Valve Timing and a Multi-Displacement System with FuelSaver Technology)
- 3.0 L V6 Turbo Diesel Engine Gen 3
Drivers can also stick with the 8-speed automatic 8HP75 transmission or upgrade to the TorqueFlite 8-speed, 8-gear automatic transmission.
